Yay! Another entry in my pregnancy diary – The Bump Tales. So this is a good week for me, I am officially 8 months pregnant, YAY! Less than 2 months to go and I’ll get to meet BG2. So far, everything’s been great and I’m feeling fine, just hoping for the best and making sure BG2 is getting all fat and cute in there.
This week I was due for another trip to the OB/GYN and I have to say it was a really good visit. I got in really fast, I only gained 3 lbs since the last visit (been trying to watch my weight), and I didn’t have any sugar in my urine (the last 2 visits showed sugar so I had to cut back on the sweets, as much as I was craving for them, haha). The doctor was nice (I’m actually meeting a different doctor each time because there are 8 of them in the practice and any of them can deliver my baby, depending on who is ON-CALL, so I have to at least know their faces (which isn’t a bad idea at all). He said the baby’s head seems like it’s in the right position, heartbeat is fine, and since I had no complaints, I was in & out in no time.
Sure there’s the constipation (which I got a prescription for) and the pelvic pain, but you know what, I’m just going to have to suck it up and deal with it because that’s just what pregnancy is all about. I say, as long as the baby is healthy and growing, I can deal with whatever else is going on, and it’s not like the doctors can do much about it anyways. My clothes are getting awfully tighter though and my feet are swelling more, which makes it hard to find good, warm shoes to wear in this weather, but I’ve been managing as best as I can, thanks to my Bashful Bump bodysuit and my SIL‘s boots. I will also be going out to buy everything I haven’t gotten for the baby yet, just to be in the safe side because from here on out, you never know when the baby will come and I like to be prepared.
The baby is still very active, always kicking my upper right side and stretching out the middle, which can get uncomfortable at times, but I’m trying to enjoy it while it lasts. I like being able to tote the baby around, no fuss or mess, wherever I go and know she’s safe because in a few short weeks I’ll have to lug around the car seat and diaper bag with the baby, haha.
– I have noticed that the top part of my belly button has started to bulge out just a little. It’s not popped out just yet but the evidence is there, haha. I usually have a very deep belly button so last time it didn’t pop out until the very end, so I’m hoping it’ll keep until then because I’m not such a big fan of outies!
– I have had a major craving for steamed dumplings lately and have been eating a ton of them. I don’t know if it’s the outside of the dumplings or the yummy soy sauce, but I just can’t get enough.
