Blogging 101: How to Keep a Post at the Top of Your Blog for Blogger

May 15, 2011 Advice Corner 9

You’ll find that this tutorial is good for those blog posts that you want people to notice right away when they visit your blog. Most of the time I would use this technique if I were doing a giveaway that spanned a few days, even if I had other posts lined up during those days, but you can use it for whatever you want.

How to Keep a Post at the Top of Your Blog

1. Write up your blog post as usual and hit “Publish”.

2. Click on “Edit Post”.

3. Click on “Post Options” & under “Post Date & Time” select “Scheduled At” and change the date to however long you want the post to remain at the top of your blog. (i.e. If I published the post today and I wanted to keep it at the top until Sunday I would change the date to that day.)

4. Click “Publish Post” and now that particular post will remain on top.

Voila! Nice & simple!
