For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They're just trying to carve out a little (secret) time together, but no such luck.

Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody's talking. When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open - but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both.

Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her ability -- and it's bleak. Seriously, brutally bleak. Not only is her fate as a dream catcher sealed, but what's to come is way darker than she'd feared....

The 2nd book in the Dream Catcher series. I have to say that I enjoyed this book so much more than the first and it’s what kept me going and wanting to read the last book in the series. You get to see Janie and Cabel’s relationship develop more and feel their love for one another and how their lives intertwine. I definitely liked the plot of this book, catching a sexual predator, and the climax of the book made me hold my breath and hope for the best. The predator plotline is definitely a reality in the world nowadays and I liked how McMann addressed this issue and worked it into her story, adding drama and suspense, it kept me guessing until the end and I was not disappointed.

I enjoyed seeing Janie develop her power more, as well as discover her history and her fate. Her power definitely comes into play in this book and her realization of her family and future was very entertaining and well written. There was definitely a faster pace in this book as compared to the first and you’ll probably be surprised how quickly you’ll finish it.

After reading this book you’ll definitely want to read the next one to see how it all ends and Janie’s fate. A great book!
