Yep, you read it right! Lauren Oliver affectionately dubs her upcoming book, Pandemonium, Pandy. So cute & fun!
I had the pleasure of meeting Lauren last night at her book signing at Children’s Book World. It’s a cozy little place, you’d miss it if you didn’t know it was there I suppose, but nice.
Lauren is super sweet and so adorable. This would be the second book signing I’ve been to, Alyson Noel’s being the first, and I’m really loving it! I want more!
Meeting Lauren was awesome and hearing her talk about her very different books, her style of writing, and advice for writers was just great. I loved hearing about her inspiration for Leisl & Po, her latest novel for Middle Grade. It’s loosely based on her life, since she lost a very close friend of hers not too long ago, it was really sad to watch her tell it and you could see emotions pouring through. I love the cover and the illustrations inside, which were also based on her very awesome drawings (she says she’s not an artist, but I loved her drawings, even if the illustrators were a bit more detailed), were gorgeous. I might have to pick that one up!
I’m super excited for Pandemonium to come out, and it was hilarious how Lauren was telling all the bloggers to start a trend so that everyone would call the book Pandy. I love it! It’s cute and definitely grabs your attention, right?!
I was able to get Delirium signed and I bought Before I Fall (it’s out in paperback now so be sure to grab it if you haven’t yet) and got it signed too. Yay!
Loved meeting Lauren and can’t wait to read Before I Fall.
