As a mom of girls, my house is littered with all kinds of dolls. From Barbie to Bratz, you name, we’ve got ’em!
Then I heard about this cool brand of dolls called the Hearts for Hearts Girls, which are not only cute and well-made, but charitable and a bit educational too.
“The Hearts For Hearts Girls dolls are inspired by stories of real girls around the world. Each of them has ideas about how to make life better for herself, her family, and community. They want to change the world—and YOU can help!
The Hearts For Hearts Girls™ mission is to empower girls to become agents of change in their communities, their countries, and around the world. We want to change the world one heart at a time, and you can be a part of that dream!
It’s an undeniable fact that girls in many countries struggle against a lack of education, medical care, decent housing, and clean water and food. But when these basic needs are met, those girls achieve amazing things for themselves and their families. Sometimes, all they need is a little help.
When you buy a doll, Hearts For Hearts Girls donates part of the purchase price through our charitable partner, World Vision, to programs that support girls in that country. Whether it’s malaria nets in Africa, schoolbooks in Asia, or food supplies in the US, these programs help girls to thrive and succeed.”
I was chosen by Mommy Parties to host a Hearts for Hearts Girls Party for BG1 and some of her friends and let me tell you, all the girls loved it! The dolls are such fun to play with, quality-made with soft hair and easily movable arms and legs. Plus, they look adorable! It’s great that each doll is from a different country and in addition to playing with different girls, you get to learn a bit about their background and nationality.
I received Conseulo from Mexico & Lauryce from the USA. BG1 chose Conseulo and one lucky little girl at the party went home with Lauryce.
In addition to the dolls, the party pack included adorable bracelets for all the girls to have and wear.
There were also activity books or “passports” that the girls could color and play with while learning about the various dolls in the collection. The moms received some information packets about the dolls, the charity, and such.
Overall, it was a fantastic party and everyone had so much fun. I loved seeing the girls play with the dolls and learning at the same time. It’s also good to know that part of the company’s funds goes to World Vision to help kids around the world.
Disclosure: I received a party kit as part of the Mommy Parties promotion via Mom Select. All opinions are my own.
