About the Book: Virginity.
Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible– a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren’t embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She’d left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.
Ah, Bliss! This girl was so insanely awkward and ridiculously adorable, it was hilarious! I was definitely laughing my ass off during the first half of this book. And that ending?! I was totally all cheesy smiles for that epilogue. Bliss is just a girl trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life, on the verge of heading out into the “real world” and also determined not to enter it a virgin. Yes, she makes mistakes, hilarious ones at that, but you can’t help but relate to her and feel for her.
And I really loved how she and Garrick meet. It was sweet, different, and definitely memorable. How they connect and fall in love, that was truly one for the books. I loved everything about how they fall for each other – from the awkward moments to the deep truths and touching scenes that they intimately shared. Ugh, how could you not fall for Garrick?! The guy has a freaking accent, he’s sexy as hell, and he can definitely take care of you (as you’ll see when you read the book). Swoon!!!!
You have the romance, the attraction and sizzling smexy times, but you also have a slew of characters who share a passion for theater and performance art. Losing It was really Bliss’ story. You get her and her friends trying out for this really important play and you totally feel their joy and excitement when they act it all out. Bliss’ character development was steady and believable, I really liked her a lot. The secondary characters don’t get as much face time, even Garrick, but you learn enough about them to really like them too.
Losing It is a wonderful story of falling in love, opening yourself to new things, and finding your passion in life. It’s a funny, light-hearted book filled with good times and a charming romance. I loved this book so much! Also, I’m so excited to read Cade’s story, Faking It, it’s going to be freaking fantastic, I just know it!
