One Line: A fun, romantic tale of rediscovering yourself and learning to trust again that I thoroughly enjoyed.

About the Book: My honeymoon was almost everything I dreamed it would be, a tropical paradise, turquoise water, romantic walks on the beach, and loads and loads of mind shattering sex. The only thing missing was the groom.

After seven years of coasting through a relationship with Michael, my senses were numb. A week of passion with a stranger was just what I needed to clear my head and take back control of my life. But how do you move on when the man that was only supposed to be a fling somehow seeps into your soul and steals your heart?

Okay, so I’m just going to say that what immediately drew me to this was that the author’s name is Vi *NAME TWINS*. After being all biased because she’s just such a fabulous name, I checked out the synopsis, and was intrigued. I had to read this one, and I was very pleased in the end. Vi’s writing is fun, refreshing, and entertaining. Her characters are charming, funny, and very relatable. Even though the plot was kind of predictable, it didn’t deter from the story and I still ended up liking it a lot more than I have others in this genre. I loved the beginning of this book. Vi sweeps you off your feet along with Sydney in the ultimate getaway to Hawaii and charms your socks off with the irresistible Jack Cole.

I really liked Sydney. She never really annoyed me, except for one part, but it was understandable given her past. She ex-fiance definitely left his mark and I could see how she wouldn’t be able to trust so easily again. Still, I felt like she made “mountains out of mole hills” here and there, but it didn’t get to me too much. I liked that Belong to You not only had the romance, but also focused on Syd’s passion in life, her music, and her rediscovery of that. Being with Michael kind of made her individuality and identity fade away, and it was nice to see her grow and find what makes her happy, outside of love. I was also a fan of Syd’s best friend, Sienna. She is the typical outgoing, funny secondary character that I’ve grown to love and appreciate. She balanced out Syd’s personality perfectly.

Now Jack is one of those guys you can’t help but fall for. Yes, he’s the typical rich, handsome man who sweeps you off your feet, but he’s also driven, successful, goal-oriented, and smart. There was definitely one part of him I figured right from the start, but a whole other side of him I didn’t quite expect, and I really enjoyed that. It was cool seeing that side of him and seeing Syd react to it all. It’s definitely an adjustment for her, but one I think she needed to help her come out of her shell and also to learn to trust again. Vi sure did write one hell of a sexy as leading man. I need more Jack, please!

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. It was a light and quick read with a lot of fun and steamy moments. Vi’s characters will win you over from the very first page. The pacing is great and I love that I was never bored, a definite MUST nowadays with the amount of books I read. I’m actually looking forward to the next book in the series, Made for You, and can’t wait to read more from Vi (I swear, it feels like I’m saying I can’t wait to read more from myself, lol).

Oh! This sounds like a great romance, although I’m sure there’s a few predictable qualities to it. Still, I’m intrigued by the idea of this story.

[OT, but I love that you noticed it because you’re name twins with the author. That’s how I feel about books or authors who share any form of my name!]
