In My Opinion: Add to cart!
One Line: More dark and depressing than its predecessors, but still just as exciting and filled with action and a slew of new characters.

About the Book: Dez Cross has problems. She’s almost eighteen and on the verge of losing her mind thanks to the drug Denazen used to enhance her abilities. People close to her have turned their back on the underground and are now fighting for the wrong side. And then there’s Kale… Things couldn’t get any worse.

Until of course, they do. Denazen is about to start a new trial—this one called Domination—and it works. But that means out with the old and in with the new. The order has been given to terminate all remnants of the second trial—including Dez. The good news is that there’s a survivor from the original trial. A woman who’s blood may hold the cure for the second generation of Supremacy kid’s defect. But the underground Sixes aren’t the only ones who know about her….

Cross is willing to throw everything he has to keep Dez from getting the cure—including the one thing that might tear her apart from the inside out.

Let me start off by saying that I didn’t love this one nearly enough as the others, but I still loved Tremble. It’s a lot darker, more dangerous and serious than before. A lot of things have happened, Kale is gone, Dez is dealing with her issues with Supremacy, and they’re racing against the clock trying to save all the Sixes that Denazen is trying to kill off. The main reason why I didn’t love it as much, was because of Dez & Kale’s relationship, which I’ll talk about in a minute. Otherwise, Tremble was filled with action, drama, a slew of new and interesting characters, and crazy plot twists that I couldn’t get enough of. Jus has outdone herself with creating such an intense world, I seriously need Book 4 like yesterday!

Dez & Kale are the core of this series and I have been rooting for them from the very beginning. Their love is so sweet and they’re just so great together, they are easily one of my favorite couples. Things are very different in Tremble though, and it just broke my heart learning everything that Kale goes through. Ugh, I swear, I love Kale so much. Their relationship is really put to the test in this book and you see right from the start that Kale isn’t the same, and he probably won’t ever be again, but you also see the depth and strength of his love for Dez shine through, which I loved. Denazen seriously works a number on him after he returns to them and even though some things changed for the better, most changes were for the worse. Dez kind of bugged me at the beginning. I know she loves Kale and is so blinded by getting him back that she can’t think of anything else, but there are more pressing matters at hand and she came off a bit too selfish for me. She redeems herself though, but not without some major consequences. I guess I just miss the innocence and fun of their relationship, but I knew things had to get rough for them, what with Denazen breathing down their necks, I just didn’t expect things to get so crazy, but it adds drama and intrigue and it definitely makes their relationship stronger, if they can survive the bumps, that is.

Tremble is definitely not as light-hearted and funny as the other books, but with good reason. There is a lot of death in this book, so be prepared for that. There are so many things that happen in this book that sets up the scene for what’s to come, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be epic. I’m seriously hoping for some better times for these characters and I can’t wait to see what Jus comes up with next.

The first book in a brand new series!

DARKER DAYS by Jus Accardo.

Jessie Darker goes to high school during the day, but at night she helps with the family investigation business. Cheating husbands and stolen inheritances? They’re your girls—but their specialty is a bit darker. Zombie in your garage? Pesky Poltergeist living in your pool? They’ll have the problem solved in a magical minute. For a nominal fee, of course…

When gorgeous new client, Lukas Scott, saunters into the office requesting their help to find a stolen box, it sounds like a simple case—until the truth comes out. The box is full of Sin.

Seven deadly ones, in fact.

They’ve got five days to recapture the Sins before they’re recalled by the box, taking seven hijacked human bodies with them. Easy peasy—except for one thing…

There’s a spell that will allow the Sins to remain free, causing chaos forever. When the key ingredient threatens the life of someone she knows, Jessie must make the ultimate choice between love and family—or lose everything.
