Best I’ve Read 2013

December 16, 2013 Books 14

There were times when I did lists like these in the past: “Best book published in said year” or “Top 10 Books” or “Best book in certain genre”. Right now, I’m either too lazy to sort through when each book was actually published, because let’s face it, I’m so behind on books, a lot of what I read was published YEARS ago. Or I really can’t just limit it just TEN. Or maybe I can, I don’t know.

Right now, I’m going through all the books I’ve read in 2013, and picking my favorites. They may all be from one genre, as I’ve noticed I’ve been reading more of a particular one throughout the year, or just may be random. I might mention my favorite of one genre, but not mention any other genres, because I just can’t choose.

Either way, I think I’ll just stick to this way of doing this kind of thing from now on. Anyways, if you managed to get through all the randomness I just spewed, then here are the best books I’ve read in 2013 (in no particular order, some w/details or reasons, others just…you get the picture):

Oh Clockwork Princess was easily my favorite read of the year followed closely by Cruel Beauty! I love that Lost & Found made your list… Jesse Walker!!! And of course I love the JLA! Frigid is one of my very favorites from her and Sentinel that ending and Daemon, you know how I love my Daemon! Okay I could gush over this list all day so I’ll stop there lol

Awesome choices. I havena’t read The Clockwork Princess, but I love anything JLA, and you’re right Jesse Walker and tight jeans are enough said. Sawyer Bennett has become a favorite author of mine this year, and of course I love any of the Brazen books from Entangled. Flawed ripped my heart out. OMG – I will never forget it. Rachel Harris is great to.

I’ve only read Dare You To (LOVED!), Losing It (really liked, it was fun), Silver Heart (also liked), Hopeless (OMG, no words), Lost & Found (LOVED), Unravel Me (perfection! although I’m Team Warner). My top 10 in 2013 is impossible!

Ready Player One is one I have had for ages but haven’t had an urge to pick it up. I suppose because I just haven’t heard much about it. Guess it’s moving up the TBR! Clockwork Princess was on mine but I ended up cutting it because I was trying to get it down to ten’ish. Definitely great though. Fault in Our Stars was on my favorites list the year I read it too, love that book! Looks like you had a good book year!

Haha I always have such a hard time deciding on books for these lists, too, and I keep changing my mind 100 times before I just sigh and hit publish quickly >.< I SO have to read Flawed dude I almost forgot I had that one! I also really want to try the Sawyer Bennett series. And yes Hopeless was freaking awesome I loved it so hard!!

Eeep! I went back and forth over my feelings about CP2! I didn’t like the ending, then saw reason, and then got angry again. I don’t know. I was torn over my feelings with that one! LOVE Sawyer’s Off series, as well as Nicole’s Lost and Found books! And OMG- Team Adam?! HECK YES! I haven’t read Unravel Me yet, but I know my opinion won’t sway. I don’t get how a psychopath like Warner can even be an option. I love Rachel Harris’s books! She is incredible! Cora’s books are great too! 🙂 Such a good list Vi!

SO MUCH AWESOME IN THIS LIST. Wow you had a really great reading year, and just realized we have basically the same reading taste. Can’t wait until you read Champion though. I thought Prodigy was amazing but Champion was just wow.

LOVED!!!! Daemon Black, enough said! So many great books, some I still need to read! I really need to read Prodigy! I enjoyed the first book, and I have the second and last book. *sigh* Need to get to them! And Sentinel! I adored the ending, perfect. Bittersweet! I miss Aiden and Alex! Let’s not forget Jesse Walker!

    Great post!
