In My Opinion: Add to cart!
One Line: I loved this and can’t wait to read more from this series! Bennett is flawless!
About the Book: One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high priced legal shenanigans.
Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.
Two weeks ago, I got drunk and joined a secret sex club.
Two days ago, I had a torrid one-night stand with a stranger.
Today? Well, today I’m contemplating having an affair with my boss.
Matt Connover is all kinds of forbidden temptation wrapped up in a deliciously wicked package, and he’s made it clear… he’s only interested in sex.
My name is McKayla Dawson but everyone calls me Mac. I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot.
But between you and me, I’m afraid my heart won’t survive these Legal Affairs.
Sawyer Bennett does it again with this sexy and clever romance series. I love everything this lady writes! Objection has engaging characters, witty dialogue, well-written sexy scenes, and clever plot to drive things along. It’s all the makings of a good book, if you ask me. I liked the way Sawyer tackled this plot line, where two strangers sleep together and then end up being stuck in each other’s lives for quite some time.
I really liked McKayla and Matt. Both were strong-willed, determined lawyers, albeit, at different points in their careers. I loved that even though Matt thinks she’ll go all “girl” on him after they find out they’re working together, McKayla holds her own and shows him how she doesn’t mix business with pleasure. At least, for the most part. I loved how things played out between them and the build-up was done just right. McKayla has such a passion for law and the case she’s working on, and it made me appreciate her as a female character. Of course, the sexy scenes were HOT! HOT! HOT! and they definitely left me wanting more!
Overall, Objection was a great beginning to what I can already tell will be an entertaining series. In case you didn’t know, Objection is the first in Bennett’s new serial series, Legal Affairs, where each volume will be released a few weeks apart from each other. I really like how different that idea is and I love how we only have to wait a few weeks for each installment, because I’m dying to read Stipulation and see what happens next.
