One Line: A sweet glimpse into the lives of one of my favorite bookish couples. I loved it!
About the Book: Braden Carmichael never imagined he’d fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he’s never letting go. He’s got it all planned—the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon—even the perfect family they’ll start.
After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can’t understand. After everything they’ve been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far—and risk losing everything all over again…
Oh how wonderful it was to revisit Joss and Braden’s world! I’d forgotten how much I loved Braden and how challenging, yet irresistible Joss is. I also loved seeing Ellie and the gang again. You all know how much I loved On Dublin Street and Castle Hill gives you glimpses of Joss and Braden’s life together as they get engaged, get married, go on their honey moon, and face the next chapter there after. I think what they went through, the emotions they experienced, and how they handle things was very characteristic of their personalities and, in the end, I liked seeing it all play out.
Once again, Braden is the definition of sexy and sweet. I thought it was funny, yet romantic, how he took over as wedding planner and it fit with his role in their relationship. He sure knows how to plan a wedding, and he knows Jocelyn’s taste, or good taste even, well. I loved their wedding. More than anything, I loved how responsive and in sync he was with Joss throughout their relationship. With that said, I was a bit surprised when their big “hiccup” came up and how he reacted. Even though I understood and sympathized, I wanted to smack some sense into him. Joss, too. These characters sure know how you tug at your heart.
I think all Joss and Braden fans will revel in this short and sweet glimpse of their world after they fell in love. These two are easily one of my favorite bookish couples and I really loved this little novella.
