Looks like it’s the last week in the 4th month of my pregnancy. Yay! I swear, time is moving so slow with this one, but I should consider that a good thing and enjoy it as much as I can.
And now for the belly shot:
I think I’m finally starting to notice a change. My belly is rounding out more and by next week it’ll officially be half baby and half fat, lol. I can’t wait for this weather to get warmer so I can start wearing some of those cute new clothes I bought.
Baby Size: About the size of a large “Heirloom Tomato” – 8.5oz, 6in.
Gender: It’s a GIRL!
Movement: Her kicks are becoming more forceful and strong. I love it when she kicks and lets me know she’s okay. It’s kind of odd though because she always kicks at the exact same spot every day, at various times during the day. During the ultrasound last week she didn’t change positions at all that whole hour, which worries me, and I’ll actually be getting a repeat US next week.
Weight Gained: 2lbs – I’m really not putting on much weight with this one, which makes me feel good, but also makes me worry. I want to make sure I’m getting enough nutrients for her and that she’ll come out all nice and chunky, haha.
New Pregnancy Symptoms: Nothing new, really.
Cravings/Aversions: I’ve actually been wanting a lot of the Chick Fil A Spicy Chicken Sandwich. They just taste so delicious! It’s not really a full blown craving where I have to have it like everyday, but I wouldn’t say “No” to it right now!
Sleep Changes: I think I’m starting to get a bit of the “Restless Leg Syndrome” thing, especially with my left leg, which incidentally, is the side I think the baby favors because I always feel so heavy on that side. Sometimes it feels so stiff or it just aches and I’m constantly changing positions. Add that to the “getting up to pee at least twice” and that doesn’t leave room for much restful sleep.
How I’m Feeling: A mix of emotions. I was happy to see the baby in the US and I love feeling those kicks. I still have the anxiety and worry, which hasn’t diminished as much as I was hoping after seeing her. I was pretty sad there for a minute after finding out the gender (which you’ll read more about tomorrow). And then I’m just stressed from school and finances.
Anything Else: I have the strongest urge to “nest” for some reason and I think it has to do with my finding out the gender. It just makes you want to start shopping. Plus, I just like baby-shopping in general. I still need to sort through all of what we do have and then figure out what we need, but that won’t happen until summer.
Thanks for following along on this journey with me. See you next week!
