Matt Connover is like a new person. Caring, romantic and thoughtful. No worries though… he’s still sexy as hell.
He has changed in every way that I have ever dreamed of, and he did it because he wants me. It’s like a fairy tale of sorts.
Except… like with every fairy tale, there is a villain. One who threatens to disrupt the harmony we have created together.
Is what we have strong enough to survive? I truly believe that perhaps I can find love within these Legal Affairs. I’m just not sure Matt believes it.

This was what I was waiting for! Reparation is all about Matt and Mac FINALLY giving it a go at a real relationship. I loved seeing the sweet and romantic side of Matt and I loved that Mac is finally getting her dream relationship with him. Of course, things take a bit of turn as the story progresses, but we get to revel in their happiness for a bit. As both the reader and Mac learn more about Matt and his past, you get a clearer picture as to why he’s so dead set against anything real and just how much of an affect Mac has on him.
As things are looking up for the happy couple, Matt’s ex throws things for a loop and you slowly see the changes in their relationship. I really didn’t like his ex and it was a bit surprising how he handled her and their relationship. I’ll admit, it seemed a bit out of character for him, but it might have something to do with what they have in common. I also didn’t like the ultimatum he gave Mac, but I understood his reasoning. It broke my heart to see Mac and Matt finally have a chance at happiness, for things to get screwed up just as quickly.
Anyways, they certainly go through one heck of a roller coaster ride and I’m hoping Matt will learn to let go of his past and his fears so he can embrace this amazing relationship with Mac before it’s too late! Will our perfect couple find their HEA?! Affirmation will tell all! I can’t wait!
