For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of... my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you've heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

I received this book for free from The Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Also in this series: Twisted, Tamed
Also by this author: Twisted, Tamed, Overruled, Sustained, Appealed

One Line: Drew and crew were just as lively and amazing as ever! Loved checking in on them!

In My Opinion: Add to cart!

Oh how I adore this series, these characters, and Emma’s writing! She definitely has the ability to capture your attention with one of the best inner monologues I’ve ever come across. Each time I’ve read one of the books in this series, I couldn’t put it down. I just love the writing style of this series, the way it’s told, it’s like the character is sitting in front of you, telling you their life story, complete with humorous commentary. It could be because I listened to the first book in this series, Tangled, via audiobook, but I really think all the books in this series should be read that way. While reading them in print is great and all, hearing it gives the story an even greater affect and, like I said, the character (I would just say Drew, but there is one book in the series based on another character, Matthew) is basically talking directly to you, telling you their story.

And Drew, what a character! He is seriously one of those guys you love, yet also want to smack upside the head every now and then. His blunt attitude, yet charming demeanor makes him pretty irresistible, even when he’s being a jerk (except for that one time in Twisted, of course).

I always find myself shaking my head with a knowing smile or even just plain laughing out loud while reading a book from this series, and Tied is no different. Sure, this book wasn’t really all that necessary and nothing too crazy happens here like it did in the first three books, but it’s still worth a read nonetheless, especially if you’ve grown to love these characters like I have. It’s basically like when you beg an author for an extended epilogue or a “what happens after the end” kind of deal. It was definitely nice to see Drew and Kate finally tie the knot, see how the baby is doing, and also check in on Matthew and Dee and the rest of the family.

So like I said, this book focuses on the Drew and Kate’s wedding, and also on what happens before then, the bachelor and bachelorette parties in Vegas. Of course, a bunch of wild and crazy things happen, as per the usual with this bunch of unique and lively group of friends. You also get a few heartfelt moments thrown in there, not just from the main characters, but also from the important secondary characters. I really loved seeing how much Drew has changed, how Kate and their family has affected him, and all that. It’s also good to know that some things about him haven’t changed and he remains the wise-cracking jerk we’ve come to know and love, only with a little more patience and wisdom.

Tied has the same feel as the other books in the series, so if you’ve gone this far, you might as well go all the way and give this one a read. If you haven’t started the series yet, you should now that it’s complete and totally binge read it. Emma will have you laughing at times, furious at others, with plenty of swoonworthy moments and you will definitely finish this book, and this series, with a satisfied grin on your face. I highly recommend this book and series to any and all Contemporary Romance readers. Loved this!
