Project BG3: Week 18 – Four Months In

Project BG3: Week 18 – Four Months In

BG3, Project BG3 0

This past week has been good, except for at night. She used to sleep so well at night and all of a sudden, she’s waking up a lot more and crying & screaming. I originally thought it was because we stopped giving her the Zantac, but then I restarted it last night and she was still pretty cranky. Maybe I need to give it more time?! Or give her more,… Read more »

Blog Tour: Book Review & Giveaway – Inspire by Cora Carmack [CLOSED]

Blog Tour: Book Review & Giveaway – Inspire by Cora Carmack [CLOSED]

Blog Tours, Giveaways, New Adult Book Reviews 1 ★★★★½

One Line: So intense and emotional, I couldn’t put it down! In My Opinion: Add to cart! Intense. Emotional. Addictive. Those are the words that come to mind when I think of Inspire. Honestly, it was a mixed bag kind of read for me at first. Not that I didn’t like it or anything, I just didn’t know what to really think about it. Then, I can’t pinpoint exactly when,… Read more »

Project BG3: Week 17 – A Bit Calmer on the Home Front

Project BG3: Week 17 – A Bit Calmer on the Home Front

BG3, Project BG3 1

I think I tend to have one breakdown per kid. Last week was that moment for me and BG3. The lack of sleep, feeding problems, and continued fussiness over the last few months just took its toll on me and I had to vent. This week has been much better. Granted, she still has her extreme fussy moments, and they just HAVE to happen from 3-6AM every morning, SIGH, but… Read more »

2014 End of Year Book Survey

2014 End of Year Book Survey

Books 4

I always say I’m going to participate in Jamie’s End of the Year Survey every year, but then I never get around to it! Well, this year, I’m determined to get it done! You might not see this post until the end of the year/month, or maybe not even until the beginning of January (It is currently Dec. 3rd as I’m typing this right now), but at least I got… Read more »

Book Review: This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman & Megan Spooner

Book Review: This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman & Megan Spooner

Young Adult Book Reviews 1 ★★★½

One Line: Not as captivating as the first book, but I still really liked it. In My Opinion: Add to cart! I’ll give it to the authors, they’ve created one heck of an intricate and captivating world. While I enjoyed the wildness and mystery of the setting in These Broken Stars, it was interesting to learn more about this new planet, Avon, and what exactly was so special about it…. Read more »

Project BG3: Week 16 – Fussiness Ensues

Project BG3: Week 16 – Fussiness Ensues

BG3, Project BG3 2

Man, this has not been an easy week for anyone. For some reason, BG3 has been extra fussy this week. You wouldn’t know it based on all the pictures I post, but it’s real. I don’t know if it’s her touch of colic reaching its peak, or if the Zantac isn’t working as well anymore (because she’s a little bigger and the dosing is now off) and her acid reflux… Read more »

A Lego Birthday Party

A Lego Birthday Party

BG1, Parenting 4

So I’m finally getting around to posting about BG1’s Lego party. I know, I’m a month overdue. It was a great turnout and a fun party though and overall, I was happy with the decorations. I originally wanted a “Lego Movie” party, but there weren’t any decorations from the movie, and surprisingly, there weren’t any Lego party decorations in general. Considering how popular Legos are in general, you’d think there… Read more »

Book Review: Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Book Review: Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

New Adult Book Reviews 6 ★★★★★

One Line: Oh. My. Ren! And there’s some pretty Wicked fae in there, too! In My Opinion: Add to cart! I know I sound like a broken record when it comes to JLA, but seriously, this lady can do no wrong! No matter what genre, plot line, or character she tackles, she has a way of turning a book into one heck of a read. Her books are basically like… Read more »

Project BG3: Week 15 – Stinky Formula

Project BG3: Week 15 – Stinky Formula

BG3, Project BG3 2

So it looks like the new formula we were trying, Similac Sensitive, wasn’t working out like I thought it would. I don’t think I mentioned this much, but for the past 6-8 weeks, she’s been having an issue with her stools. It’s basically borderline diarrhea. It’s not watery, but VERY wet, and she goes like six times a day, which isn’t normal for formula-fed babies. We’re thinking it’s because of… Read more »

Book Review: Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White

Book Review: Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White

Young Adult Book Reviews 4 ★★★★½

One Line: White does it again! I loved everything about this book. I really didn’t know what to expect with Illusions of Fate. I knew I wanted to give it a try because of the author, whose other series I adored. I’m happy to report that this book does not disappoint. White continues to entertain me with her humorous writing, although it’s much more subtle in this book. She also… Read more »
