Wyatt Banks is ready to give one woman the world. Unfortunately, his job as a cop tends to interfere with other goals. When Wyatt is sent deep undercover to investigate a sex slave ring, he doesn’t have time to do anything but focus on staying alive in a dark and dangerous underworld.

Wyatt isn’t alone though in his quest to save the women that are being sold into sexual slavery.

His partner, FBI Agent Andrea Somerville, is immersed just as deeply as he is, and she’s the bait to lure the sex slavers out into the open, as she poses as an erotic dancer in an attempt to snare the enemy. But danger runs as high as the sparks between them, and now Wyatt is caught between the job he loves and the woman he wants.

In My Opinion: Add to cart!

Ah! What a fantastic book and an amazing addition to the Last Call series! I loved Wyatt and Andrea’s love story so much. The first half of this book was so tense and dangerous, it was awesome. I swear, usually I can tell which way a story is going to go, but I had no idea how Bennett was going to handle their predicament. It really could’ve gone either way and I was very happy with how things played out. The second half of the book solidified the couple and their relationship in a way that went way above and beyond the physical. In a situation such as theirs, it’s easy to think that their relationship is purely physical and that no real substance could come of it, but that’s where you’d be wrong, because not only did Wyatt and Andrea’s chemistry explode off the pages, they literally bared their hearts and souls to one another in a way I haven’t quite seen from another couple to date.

Things are kind of flipped when it comes to the male/female roles when it comes to Wyatt and Andrea. Wyatt is looking for a happily-ever-after and Andrea is still reeling from a bad relationship. While they’re both dealing with those emotions, they’re thrust into the dangerous roles of undercover cops, placed right in the middle of a sex-slave ring. From the very beginning, things were just so tense and on-edge, you never knew if and when things would blow up in their faces. While doing their best to play their roles of sleazy strip club manager and stripper, they can’t help their growing attraction and magnetic pull towards each other. I loved their slow-building chemistry and the fact that they really didn’t expect to fall for each other so deeply. I liked that the undercover operation took the forefront and their romance simmered and sizzled in the background, slowly building and then exploding into one heck of a romance.

Wyatt is an amazing guy. He definitely walked the line between his undercover role, yet did his very best to protect the girls that were in danger. He had quite the protective side, but I loved how he knew when to back off when it came to Andrea. Andrea is definitely a girl I really like. She’s tough, smart, and strong-willed. I admired her for doing whatever it took to get the job done and for being able to come out of it okay. A lot of crazy-bad stuff goes down during this operation and seeing Andrea handle it all the way that she did was amazing to watch. I have to admit, it was weird seeing the guy, Wyatt, holding back as much as he did, and seeing the girl, Andrea, being so brave and assertive about what she wants and all that. It was weird, but refreshing. I loved that Bennett changed things up like that and I think it added much more depth and intrigue into their relationship. Trust me though, when things really get rolling, Wyatt doesn’t hold anything back!

This has been one heck of a solid series overall and holds its own right up there with Bennett’s Off series. This lady can do no wrong! All her books are so outstanding and each of her characters bring something different and memorable to the table. It amazes me how she can come up with so many characters, each more unique than the last. I simply cannot praise this book, this series, this author, enough. Each time I get ahold of one of her books, I know I’m in for an unbelievably good ride. I just can’t get enough! All I can say is that I didn’t want this book to end, I didn’t want to let go of this world. And, I am seriously looking forward to the last book in this series and the highly anticipated story of Casey Markham.
