Like I said last week, BG3 has been sitting up without support recently and her back muscles seem to be getting stronger every day. This past week, as long as you put her in the sitting position, she can stay stable like that for a good five minutes or so before getting tired and flopping over. I’ve also noticed that this girl really hates to lay down on her back. As soon as you lay her down, she flips right over onto her belly. She prefers that, sitting up, being in her walker, or being help upright. Gone are the days of holding her horizontally, unless we’re putting her to sleep.
The teething game is still going strong, but yet no teeth have made an appearance. I don’t know if it’s because of the teething or her reflux or a combination or if it’s just her nature, but BG3 continues to be a fussy baby. I’m not complaining, just making a note. She will win you over with that face, but boy can she turn at the drop of a dime!
On the speech front, she’s been saying a lot of “da da da da” lately. No real words yet, of course, but it’s cute. Before it was just sounds and now she’s starting to form more word-like sounds. I love it when babies talk to you like they know what they’re talking about. So cute!
