Casey Markham is a man-eater in a rut. Swearing off relationships may keep her heart safe, but she's beginning to question if her casual flings will ever leave her satisfied. She's wondering if it's finally time to let go of the past and stop letting history control her future.

Bad boy biker, Tenn Jennings can't get Casey off his mind. A chance encounter with the beautiful blond has left its mark, and now he's determined to prove her wrong about everything she thought she knew about men.

It’s safe to say… Casey Markham has met her match.

I received this book for free from The Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

One Line: If only Tenn Jennings could prove me wrong!

In My Opinion: Add to cart!

Let me tell you, since the very first book in this series, I have been dying to get to Casey’s story. This vivacious, strong-willed, stubborn girl sparked my interest from the very beginning and I was definitely impatient to see what was behind those pretty walls. Her story, although not exactly what I pictured, was still just as awesome as I was hoping for and have come to expect from Bennett. Add in the irresistible charm and flair of Tenn Jennings and you’ve got yourself a solid romance read right there.

As far as angst and drama goes, this book was pretty low key. There wasn’t one particular big blowout, just a few minor slips along their journey to HEA and like I always say, it’s nice to get those kinds of stories from time to time. While I will say it felt far too simple and a bit rushed how Casey changed after meeting Tenn, I suppose that can be attributed to the fact that you can’t help but be attracted to the man. He can make you do some surprising things and, in Casey’s situation, flip your world upside down.

Like I said, Tenn is one of those guys you can’t help but fall for. He’s talented, successful, sweet, caring, and absolutely amazing between the sheets, or so I’ve read. Tenn has a child from a previous marriage and I liked how good of a father he is and the part that his daughter and past play into his story with Casey. Tenn also surprised me with how easily he saw through Casey’s walls and how well he adapted to her crazy antics. He definitely complimented her personality very well. As for his big secret, I don’t think he should’ve kept it from her as long as he did, even if the similarities to her past were there, but it worked out in the end. Let it be known, I also loved how he did everything and anything he could to prove her wrong, especially during those naughty moments. Mmmm…mmmm…good!

Okay, now Casey. Let’s just say that while I love the girl, I really wanted to shake some sense into her. A lot of things about her, once revealed, surprised me. When we learn what it was that caused her to behave the way she has over the years, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Yes, it was a crappy situation, but it wasn’t so egregious that it would make someone shut down and closed off completely. I also didn’t like how closed off she was with her girlfriends, especially considering how close she is with Gabby. Yes, the reasoning behind it was so blatantly pointed out by Tenn, but still, when she’d blow them off because she just wasn’t up for dealing with them I thought, “Why are they even your friends then?!”. She had a constant back-and-forth things going with Tenn, pushing him away yet wanting to be with him. Now you know that kind of thing tends to bug me, but luckily, it wasn’t too bad. Towards the end she does step it up a notch and even though we don’t get much in the way of where her life is going and all, we get a great conclusion to their love story.

Can I just say that the added bonus to this book was that a couple characters from a certain “Off series” of Bennett’s makes an appearance?! How awesome is that?! I love it when authors include characters from their other books, but it’s even more fantastic when they include characters from another series. Ah!

So yes, while Casey’s story wasn’t the one I was expecting, it was just as entertaining and appealing as the rest of the series. Bennett just has a way of creating such irresistible men and a plot that flows smoothly, I always find immense enjoyment reading her books. If nothing else, read this book so you can get to know Tenn Jennings. You’ll thank me later!

YES! I had been dying for Casey’s story! I was like ugh, Gavin. Ugh, Wyatt. YAY CASEY! (Not that I didn’t like Gav and Wyatt, but you know.) I was just so ready for hers! I loved Tenn SO SO much. He is right up there with Brody for me. I agree though. I felt the whole reason she swore off love was a little underwhelming, but I was able to move past it because I liked the steamy romance between the two.
