Some things are sexier the second time around.
Cal Payton has gruff and grumbly down to an art...all the better for keeping people away. And it usually works. Until Jenna MacMillan-his biggest mistake---walks into Payton and Sons mechanic shop all grown up, looking like sunshine, and inspiring more than a few dirty thoughts.
Jenna was sure she was long over the boy she'd once loved with reckless abandon, but one look at the steel-eyed Cal Payton has her falling apart all over again. Ten years may have passed, but the pull is stronger than ever... and this Cal is all man.
Cal may have no intention of letting Jenna in, but she's always been his light, and it's getting harder to stay all alone in the dark. When a surprise from the past changes everything, Cal and Jenna must decide if their connection should be left alone or if it's exactly what they need for the future of their dreams.

One Line: A sweet and low key second chance love story that makes you smile.
In My Opinion: Add to cart!
I am all about those second chance love stories, they’re one of my favorite tropes. Any chance for lovers to rekindle their romance is a story I want to check out. I haven’t read a book by Megan before but, for the most part, I really like her writing style. Her romance was entertaining and her characters were fun. Cal is set in his ways. He helped raise his brothers after his mother left them and now he just wants to fix cars/motorcycles and relax without any responsibilities. That is until his high school sweetheart, Jenna, decides to come back into town to stay. He knows that being with her means a real future – marriage, kids, the whole nine yards and that’s exactly what he doesn’t want. Or so he thinks. Jenna is determined to get Cal to see that he is a family man kind of guy and that all she wants is for him to try to make things work.
This book is aptly named, as Cal and Jenna had so many dirty thoughts when it came to one another. It was hilarious! Cal isn’t the best when it comes to words, but he’s one of those guys who shows his love and it’s obvious to everyone but him how much he loves Jenna and wants a future with her. I loved those moments where they thought about their past and how good of a couple they were. Even though they’ve grown up and changed in many ways, their feelings haven’t wavered and it’s nice to see that kind of relationship every now and then.
I did have one issue with the book and that was due to the whole Asher situation. There was just something about the whole kid thing that didn’t appeal to me this time around. I think it had to do with how it worked into Cal and Jenna’s story. I was expecting them to go another way, discover another route to make their relationship work, but the actual way it went was too convenient/coincidental, like there wasn’t even a question whether it was going to work out or not. I’m all for the low-angst love stories every now and then, but yeah, it was too convenient here and made me not love this one like I was hoping. Maybe I just wasn’t looking for that kind of read at the moment and I still enjoyed Cal and Jenna’s relationship aside from that.
I’m definitely interested in reading more books from Megan and from this series. Brent totally won me over already with his comical personality and I’m so excited to read his story. Fixing cars is not the only thing these mechanics are good at, obviously, and I can’t wait to see some of Brent’s other skills.
