Still no signs of walking yet with this girl. She still prefers to be held, especially by me, or else she’s cruising around the living room via the couch and coffee table. She doesn’t seem to like her walker much anymore for some reason.
She’s been consistent with the “mama” and “dada” words and I can tell she knows which word refers to which person. Not really sure what will be her actual first word just yet.
Sadly, we’re noticing more and more than BG3 just isn’t eating as much or as enthusiastically as when she first started out with solids/table food. I don’t know if she’s just easily bored of a particular kind of food, like she can’t eat the same thing more than 2-3 times a week, or what. I was hoping the feeding issue would only be with her formula, but it doesn’t seem like she eats much table food either. She’s always willing to try something new, but after a few bites of everything, she’s done. You all know I’m hyper-aware of her feeding and weight issues, and when others comment on how she looks too small/thin or that she looks like she’s losing weight, I get even more worried.
I’m hoping that when we switch her to cow’s milk in a few weeks things might get better. I’m thinking of introducing Ensure with her milk as well so that will give her more calories. It’s definitely something I want to bring up with the doctor when we go for her 1yo check up. I only hope she has gained some weight in the past three months.
Anyways, I’m slowly starting the planning stages of her birthday party and I’m excited to get things going. It’s a very simple theme this time around, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (her favorite show), so the decor shouldn’t be hard to do. This girl has got crazy stranger anxiety issues though so I can only imagine how cranky she’s going to be when there’s like 50+ people in our house on that day.
I can’t believe she’s almost one!
