Grant Osprey just had the hottest sex of his life. Sure, they were both in costume, and yes, it was anonymous, but he never expected her to bolt in the middle of the night without so much as a good bye, let alone exchanging numbers. Or names. All he’s left with are her panties and some seriously X-rated memories...until he meets his business partner's little sister.
Only Chloe Talley isn't the bold, sexy vixen he remembers. And she wants nothing to do with him.
Cosplay is Chloe’s only chance to leave her boring, socially awkward world behind. To forget that she’s failing at life and can’t be with anyone, let alone a single-father like Grant. But the raw hunger between them is undeniable. With him, she can be a misbehaving maid. A sexy call girl for hire. Each scene pushes Chloe beyond her strict boundaries, until Grant demands the one character she can't play.
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Also by this author: Dirty Thoughts, Dirty Talk
One Line: The perfect mix of nerdy and sexy and their antics kept me fairly entertained.
In My Opinion: Add to cart!
This is my second book from Megan and I liked it considerably better than the first one I read, especially in terms of character appeal. Also, I liked how even though there was a kid in the book, it didn’t feel like a plot tool, but just as an aside. There isn’t much to this story outside of the romance and I felt like there could’ve been more to Chloe and her family, but I think that might come in the form of her brother’s story, if that will be the focus in another book in this series.
I loved that this book has characters who enjoy cosplay and are nerds at heart. That’s something different and something I haven’t read about before, especially in a romance novel. Grant and Chloe really enjoyed role-playing, but no worries for the faint of heart, because they’re all pretty tame. I enjoyed their intimate moments as it brought about a bit of fun and imagination in addition to sexy times. I did find it weird that both characters, especially Grant, kept harping on his age. He is slightly older than Chloe, but I guess that’s not an issue for me, but it kept being pointed out to me like it was.
Grant and Chloe were the perfect mix of nerdy and sexy and their antics kept me fairly entertained. I could definitely see myself checking out the first book in this series as I’m curious about Marley and Austin, but I’d also like to know more about Chloe’s brother. In any case, I’m enjoying Erickson’s writing so far and I plan on sticking around for more.
