Rocksbox is a new subscription service that approached me and asked me to give them a try. It’s basically a designer jewelry subscription box that sends its members pieces on loan for only $19/month.

At first, I was skeptical about a subscription that only let you “borrow” items, but this service has grown on me so much. I like the idea of having new and pretty designer jewelry to try as often and for as long as I want. Then, when I get bored of the pieces, I just send them back and get new ones. No more clutter or figuring out what to do with pieces I don’t care for anymore. And, if I really love what they send me, I can easily buy it for a discounted price. Yeah, as you can see, I’m a convert.

If anyone is a fan/subscriber of services like StitchFix, this is pretty much the same thing, but with jewelry.

How does it work?

You simply sign up for a free account, choose designer jewelry pieces that fit your style from a very long list of gorgeous pieces, and based off those choices, a stylist will choose other pieces to complement it. 3 pieces will go in a box and it will be shipped to you to use on loan for as long as you like. Once you’re done with them, simply send them back in the same box & shipping bag it came it, with a pre-paid shipping label (included in the box), and you’ll get another box sent out to shortly after.

SO easy and hassle-free.

My biggest question with this service initially was “Is this sanitary?”. And yes, each piece is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before they send them out. They’re also aware of allergies or if you’re not into certain pieces, like if you don’t wear earrings at all or something like that. They work closely with you to make sure you get the best service and pieces tailored to your needs. If you have any other questions, they have a FAQ section that answers it all.

So, this is what I got in my first box:

I really loved it. The necklace was a piece I chose when I was picking out styles I like and the earrings and bracelet are what my stylist paired with it. It definitely went together perfectly, not too much flashiness, which is what I like. I wore it to a wedding and everyone complimented me on my style.

Here’s what I got in my second box:

This box came at a perfect time as I was celebrating various birthdays and I have a date night with the hubs. I was able to pair these pieces with each outfit I wore. Again, I chose the necklace, and my stylist paired it with nice earrings and a ring.

So far, I’ve really liked the choices sent to me. I have one more box to try out, but I’m sure it’s going to be another winner. Also, I really love the packaging. The box is cute, each piece comes in individual bags, and there’s a letter in there written personally to you from your stylist.

And now for the cool part. Rocksbox is offering all my readers/subscribers ONE box FOR FREE! There’s no obligation to sign up for a paid membership AND you can cancel after your first box if you’re not happy with the service.

Just enter the code THECLEANMETHODXOXO at checkout when you sign up for the box and that’s it!

I highly recommend you give this subscription a try if you like jewelry and the idea of their service.

Disclaimer: I received a 3-month subscription for free to try out and review. This does not affect my review, however, and all opinions are my own.
