Galentine’s Day with Susan Dennard & Sarah J. Maas Contest

January 26, 2016 Promotional 2

GalentineDay

If you’re a Philly bookworm, then you might have heard that there are quite a few amazing events coming up in February at Barnes & Noble Neshaminy Mall (if not, be sure to check out the PA Book Events Calendar).

One of the events I’m most excited about is the Galentine’s Day event on Sat, Feb 13th, at 6pm. This event features the dynamic duo – Susan Dennard (celebrating the release of her new YA Fantasy novel, Truthwitch) and Sarah J. Maas (author of the Throne of Glass series). These two are #friendshipgoals in the book community and I adore them!

Friendship is an important theme in Susan’s new book, and it’s something these two ladies value heavily, so we thought what better way to celebrate a holiday of love than by celebrating the love between friends?!

B&N and Good Choice Reading are hosting a contest for event attendees who can tell us about their epic friendships. I was recently asked to take part as a judge for the contest, so I’ll be reading your amazing stories and trying my best to choose a winner. The winner will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. Sweet!

How you enter is simple. Just visit this form and follow the directions on how you enter your friendship story. Basically, what you need to write about is:

Tell us your Galentine Story in the length of four tweets. (560 characters)

Is your “Galentine Day” story special?
How did you meet your best friend? Was it at school, library, park, etc.?
How did your friendship become epic?
How long have you been friends?

So go and tell us about your epic friendship tale and good luck!

Gahh I wanted to go to this event, but when I saw it was wristband I was a bit bummed. This is a bit of a drive for me to get there and have them be out of wrist bands because I know people are going to line up super early. But I am sure it will be a ton of fun and that is so exciting you get to be a judge! I cannot wait to read Truthwitch and I hope to soon.

Teresa, if you really want to come, I can try and talk to the manager at B&N to put a wristband aside for you. The only thing is, you have to buy TRUTHWITCH for the band. Let me know!
