Every Baby Needs a Blowdryer

Every Baby Needs a Blowdryer

BG2, Parenting 0

BG2 is now 8 months old, no longer considered a newborn (which, I think stops at 6 months) and I have yet to impart any of my “Caring for a newborn” wisdom. Being that it has been 6 years since I had to take care of a baby, I was a bit rusty and pretty much had to learn everything all over again. It came quickly and naturally, of course,… Read more »

BABY FACTS – Live ’em, Love ’em, Laugh at ’em

BABY FACTS – Live ’em, Love ’em, Laugh at ’em

BG2, Parenting 5

I’ve come to realize quite a few facts about BG2, aged 8 months. I thought I’d share SOME of the many with you: Baby Fact #1: My baby drools like there’s a water hose in her mouth, but instead of spraying cool, refreshing water, it leaks an endless amount of saliva with no way to turn it off. We’ve resorted to layering her bibs and are always at the ready… Read more »

So This is What Being Outside Feels Like…I Wanna Go Back Inside!

So This is What Being Outside Feels Like…I Wanna Go Back Inside!

BG1, Parenting 2

Feeling very guilty for the lack of going ANYWHERE this summer, I knew I just had to take the kids out for a Family Day asap and, luckily, my friend Peggy from Philly Parent Circle was hosting a Celebration of Play event at Smith Play Place. It also happened to be on the same day as a birthday party for one of BG1‘s friends, so I thought, PERFECT! We had… Read more »

Sundays With Vi3tBabe and Kids

Family, Parenting 11

One of the bloggers that I stalk religiously, Jill from Baby Rabies, has challenged the people of the blogosphere to capture a day in their lives via photos. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to give a legitimate reason as to why I always have my camera near me, in addition to taking daily photos of the little one for Project BG2. I love the idea of really showing how… Read more »

My Daughter Doesn’t Like Me

My Daughter Doesn’t Like Me

BG1, Parenting 0

Today, I’m linking up with Shell at Things I Can’t Say and Pouring My Heart Out! Yes, I’ve come to the realization that my 6 year old daughter doesn’t really like me much anymore. She loves me, don’t get me wrong, but it’s obvious that she doesn’t want to live with me and doesn’t really care to be around me. I’ve had her living with me all summer now and… Read more »

Mommy Moment: The Story of a Lion & a Bear

Mommy Moment: The Story of a Lion & a Bear

Guest Posts, Parenting 5

This week’s Mommy Moment is by my awesome Twitter Friend Tara of Mommy Head Adventures. She has a very touching and tough story to tell about her two wonderful and beautiful children. She honestly went through things that I wouldn’t wish on any one, but it made her such a strong woman and mother. Having to see your child suffer the way her first did is truly gut-wrenching and I… Read more »

Mommy Moment: Preemie Love

Mommy Moment: Preemie Love

Guest Posts, Parenting 6

This week’s Mommy Moment comes from my bloggy friend Tara over at 3 P’s in a Pod. Her story is definitely one a lot of moms can relate to. Having a premature baby is a tough situation to deal with. Growing a baby is a lot of work, and then to have them leave you so quickly, before either of you are even ready is a great struggle. The endless… Read more »

There’s a Traitor in Our Mists

There’s a Traitor in Our Mists

BG2, Marriage, Parenting 2

Well, it’s official, BG2 is a Daddy’s Girl. The update on BG2 is that she’s doing much better on Enfamil Gentlease. We tried to start her back on Good Start over the weekend, but she wasn’t drinking as much and seemed a bit fussier, so we quickly switched her back and I suppose we’ll continue to buy it and see how she does. We also changed all her nipples to… Read more »

Mommy Moment: The Autism Story

Mommy Moment: The Autism Story

Guest Posts, Parenting 19

My guest post for Mommy Moment this week is by Jessica from Four Plus an Angel. Her story is truly an inspirational one, raising an autistic child, giving birth to triplets and then suffering through the loss of one baby. I can’t even begin to imagine the emotions and hardships she and her husband have had to endure so I just had to reach out to Jessica and get her… Read more »

Gas is Not My Friend

Gas is Not My Friend

BG2, Parenting 2

So here is the update on BG2, how she’s doing, and the outlook from here. We started Enfamil Gentlease on Tuesday and it seemed to be working okay. She was taking it down without any complaints, so I guess it tastes the same?!?! Also, we haven’t noticed any changes in her BMs, although the color has changed a bit, but nothing to worry about, I was more concerned about constipation… Read more »
